To commemorate the iconic Levi's 501 denim, the brand collaborates with 20 emerging artists from different disciplines to create an unique pair of denims which is displayed during the Levi's 501 day at Famous Studio, Mumbai. The Levi's 501 day is a celebration of art, music and street culture.

In 2019, I was one of the selected artists to customise a pair of Levi's 501 denims. My denims were called 'Gully Couture' and it used the most quintessentially 'desi' things found on Indian streets like matchboxes, bangles, safety pins, saree borders etc. The idea was to create a visual explosion of Indian curios in a refined way.
It was completely hand embellished and took around 80 hours of work.
TAILORSHOP
I also created a few screen prints and heat pressed stickers for the Levi's Tailorshop initiative at the event. These artworks were
printed on T-shirts and jackets during the event The over-all theme was around LGBTQIA pride and sustainability.
